Party Time!!

HBday AL Party2If one thing has NOT changed over the years, it is how much Anne Louise Harris Magee LOVES her birthday.  Since before she was two, she knew her birthday was January 6.  I have never seen anything like it!  As soon as Halloween is over, AL starts talking about “Thanksgiving, then its Jesus’ birthday, and then its MY birthday!”  It’s a weekly (sometimes daily) conversation.  And as soon as the birthday talk starts, along comes the birthday PARTY talk.  This year, since July I think, Anne Louise has said she wanted a “Yo Gabba Gabba Art Show Party.”  Translation: She wanted an art party, not just any art party – she wanted to “mix paint” and “paint” like on the Art Show episode, and she wanted Yo Gabba Gabba cupcakes. I do LOVE a challenge, and sure enough, thanks to some creativity from the folks at Noah’s Art (who switched up their normal party plan) and some amazing work by A Little Something Sweet, Anne Louise had the party that her sweet little three-year-old mind imagined.  Here are some pics from the big shindig! And JUST in case you think we haven’t spoiled made Anne Louise feel special enough, we had ANOTHER birthday party!  We are so fortunate to have some awesome amazing friends in our neighborhood . . . like, RIGHT down the street.  AND two of those special friends include 2/3 of the triplets (aka “Will Ba” aka Will and Barrett Moody aka Anne Louise’s Birthday “Twins” {literally}). The natural thing was to have a “Triplet Birthday Party” so that the kids could be, well, kids, and the parents could also hang out and have some friend-time . . . all in the name of AL’s birthday, of course.  Of course.  Needless to say, the triplets had a blast celebrating with their buds.  Who wouldn’t after a train ride AND make your own pizzas at Brixx uptown???  Luckily, the place wasn’t too crowded that Sunday afternoon.  Here are some pics from the super fun Triplet Birthday Party! Really, DO NOT EVER DO THIS AGAIN but you won’t get in trouble because its your birthday, you’re cute, and your parents are too busy having fun with their friends, too DSC_0889DSC_0890DSC_0891DSC_0892DSC_0893DSC_0894DSC_0895DSC_0897To call it “organized chaos” does NOT do it justice; although, Brixx did an amazing job with the party.  These friends had some energy . . . and a lot of it.  But I think they had fun:

What did you have for dinner?

And JUST in case you think they got out all their energy inside the restaurant, take a look at the pictures from the ride home on the light rail:DSC_0968DSC_0971DSC_0975DSC_0977DSC_0978DSC_0981Girls on Train

Our little girl likes to party . . . especially HER birthday party, and we had a blast celebrating with her!
